Majestic Spring

“Murphy” arrived at our sanctuary in September of 2021.

This very handsome gelding loves human attention and spends his days with his buddy Native Ruler, with whom he still jockeys with for the affections of one of our resident mares, Pansamante.

With 55 career starts on his racing resume, Murphy spent most of his time competing on the East Coast at Mountaineer (WV), but finished his time on the track in Arizona, where he earned his seventh and final lifetime victory at Turf Paradise in Phoenix. He hit the board 30 times in all, and collected earnings of almost $90,000.
