Arriving at Unbridled in December of 2021, it hasn’t taken “Hydee” long to ascend to the top of the pecking order at the sanctuary. Assisting her with “upper management” duties for one of our herds is her pasture pal, Barney Rubble.
Hydee has also been a big hit with Unbridled’s humans as well, with her sweet disposition, willingness to please, and smooth way of moving while romping around the pasture. We'd like to give a big shoutout of thanks to Denise Zahradnik (pictured), who sponsors Hydee monthly.
During her time on the track, Nagahyde had 20 starts, posing for a win picture at Arapahoe Park (CO) in 2011. A paralyzed flapper (breathing disorder involving the larynx), however, eventually resulted in challenges for her during training, and shortened her racing career.
She then served as a broodmare for a couple years, before making her way to her forever home. One of her offspring, Naggedy Ann, joined her at Unbridled in 2023.
