“Lily” has taken the two young fillies, Ellie and Mia, who were rescued from a Texas kill pen towards the end of 2023, under her wing, acting as a mother to them. It’s been a nice diversion for her, after she lost her longtime pasture pal, Hail Mary Pass, also in 2023.

Though she never made it to the races, Lily was able to enjoy a secondary career in dressage (horse shows). A minor stifle injury, however, led to her retirement to Unbridled in June of 2016, where she continues to enjoy life at her forever home.
