Seattle Surprise

Surprise is the granddaughter of 1977 Kentucky Derby winner Seattle Slew, who would go on to become the first undefeated Triple Crown champion, and, at the time, only the 10th overall to capture the highly coveted “trifecta” in American racing.

Surprise’s late sire, Seattle Proud, was saved from public auction in California and was able to spend his final years at Unbridled Spirits, until he succumbed to laminitis a few years ago at the age of 25.
